Fridays with Jackie - 09/05/08

Welcome to your first installment of Fridays with Jackie. In this post, you will hear about Trinity's first day of school, Charity's little "accident" and Isaac just being Isaac. Sit back, relax and enjoy!!

Monday was a holiday as you all know (Labor Day), so all 5 of us were home. We hung around for a while and then decided to play some "ten ball baseball" so we went and did that. We had a competition, and the first person to hit 10 balls won a prize. Trinity REALLY wanted this prize for herself, but mommy ended up winning (although, she did get an extra ball, oops). So, the gang got our jackets on (it was cold and rainy) and walked in the rain to where everyone thought was the Co-Op to get a prize for mommy (who was going to share with everyone). Daddy ended up taking everyone to Subway for dinner. We sat around and waited for the rain to slow down and then hurried home before we got poured on again. The kids went to bed shortly afterwards and then mommy and daddy did as well (not long after the kids).

Tuesday, daddy had to go back to work. It was also the LAST day anyone could sleep in because just 1 more sleep and Trinity starts school. Mommy and the kids hung out until daddy got home from work. We did our usual evening routine (mommy makes dinner while the kiddos play with daddy). We eat dinner, get the kids ready for bed and then do our bedtime routine. Mommy and daddy have some free time until they head to bed at 9pm (they BOTH had to wake at 6:30 the next morning and had stayed up until 2:30am Sunday night (or Monday morning).

Wednesday morning, 6:30am, the alarm almost goes off (mommy wakes every 2 minutes and looks at the alarm clock, not getting much sleep). Mommy and daddy tear themselves out of bed and go downstairs. Mommy eats lunch while daddy sits and rocks on the couch (apparently what he does EVERY morning). Mommy wakes Trinity up right before daddy goes to work, so she can give him her infamous hug and kiss. Daddy leaves and we wake up the younger 2 and get everyone set up with breakfast. The kids all play and take 20 minutes to eat their breakfast, but Isaac ends up dropping Charity's bowl on the floor, which still had milk in it, making a HUGE mess for mommy to clean up. As the kids watch cartoons, mommy makes Trinity's first lunch for school (Kindergarten was 1/2 days so Trinity went home for the afternoon, but grade 1 is full days so she stays at school for the afternoon). 8:20am rolls around, and mommy gets the gang ready to head out the door. Isaac in the stroller, the girls on their bikes, we head to the school. The bell rings and Trinity enters the school with her classmates, then mommy and the 2 younger kids head home. They get home and mommy gives the youngin's a snack of a cheese whiz sandwich, a cookie and gummy worms (not a very healthy snack is it) and then the kids watch cartoons while mommy cleans the house. We play blocks, chase each other around and "Freeze and Go" and then its time for mommy to make lunch for everybody (except for Trin who stays at school). Isaac goes down for his nap, Charity and mommy spend some time together, Charity watches a movie while mommy has her own time and then it's time to pick Trinity up from school. Get Isaac from his bed, get them ready and head out the door. Ten minutes later we are at the school and wait for Trinity to come out. We wait, and wait, and wait and no sign of Trinity, so we go inside to take a look. Oh, there she is, waiting by her classroom. The kids take a few slides on the play structure and then the gang heads home, plays outside until daddy gets home and then goes inside. Eat dinner, spend time as a family, kids in bed, mommy and daddy have free time (watch The Scorpion King 2) and then head to bed themselves.

Thursday morning, 6:30am, the alarm clock almost goes off again, mommy and daddy once again tear themselves out of bed and go downstairs. Mommy eats breakfast while daddy sits and rocks on the couch. The morning routine is the same as the previous day, except mommy lets Isaac sleep in until 7:45am. At 8:20am, the gang heads out the door and takes Trinity to school. Come home, have snack, kids watch TV while mommy cleans, spend time together, mommy makes dinner while the kids play, daddy gets home and everyone eats, daddy goes back to work and Isaac goes down for his afternoon nap. Mommy and Charity play some "Pop N' Go" and then Charity watches yet another movie. Mommy cleans up some more and has some free time until it's time to pick Trinity up from school. Daddy gets home, mommy make dinner while daddy spends time on the computer and Trinity plays some Wii while the other 2 kids watch.

Charity gets hurt. Trinity decides to play with the baseball bat, and hits Charity in the face with it, blood everywhere and a swollen lip for Charity. Trinity gets a time-out on the couch.

Eat dinner and then spend time together until bed time for the kiddos. Mommy and daddy watch some TV until bedtime. Mommy gets distracted with the new 90210 show (which she never planned to watch in the first place) and ends up going to bed later than daddy (half an hour later).

Friday morning, 6:30am, the alarm clock once again almost goes off, mommy and daddy tear themselves out of bed. Go downstairs and relax. Daddy leaves for work and then mommy spends some time on the computer. Going to try something new today, waking the kids up at 7:30am instead of 7am. It seems to work, we still have 10 minutes to spare before having to leave. Bring Trinity to school, come home and give kids a snack, do some cleaning while they watch cartoons, make lunch, daddy gets home and we eat, mommy has a little nap during daddy's lunch break but ends up sleeping through him leaving and doesnt wake up until 1:30pm (oops), wakes up and does some cleaning, fixes the vacuum, gets the gang ready and picks Trinity up from school. The kids play in the park for a bit, mommy pushes them on the swings and a few other kids too. We go home and it's almost time for daddy to get home, he shows up about 10 minutes later. Mommy reads the kids a book and everyone eats some Canteloupe, mommy dances with Isaac while cooking dinner. Eat dinner, daddy plays a video game, mommy sits and watches, the kids play downstairs. The kids are in bed at 8:30pm and mommy heads to the computer!

There you have it, your first installment of "Fridays with Jackie". I hope you enjoyed the show.

God Bless,
Jackie

It's always hard to get back into routine. I hope that you will be able to keep on track and keep to your commitments. Praying that you would continue to draw closer to Him.
