OCP Blog Challenge #9

Choose one of your all time favorite Praise & Worship songs or Hymns and tell us what the lyrics mean to you. You can choose the whole song or just one of the verses or the chorus (if you do that, please bold the verse or chorus you are referring to, just so everybody knows what you are talking about lol).

After a lot of thought, and looking through praise and worship songs online I found the one. I saw this name and I LOVE this song, so it's the one that I chose!! It also has a special place in my heart. A few years ago, a young man that I've known since he was a baby, committed suicide. At his funeral, they sang this song and it was his favorite. So, I'm going to dedicate this to him....Michael!

Refiner's Fire

Purify my heart
Let me be as gold and precious silver
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold, pure gold

Chorus:
Refiner's fire
My heart's one desire
Is to be holy
Set apart for You Lord
I choose to be holy
Set apart for You my master
Ready to do your will.

Purify my heart
Cleanse me from within and make me holy
Purify my heart
Cleanse me from my sin deep within

Chorus
Chorus

I think we all, every now and then, want to be holy (I know I sure do)! So, we pray to God and ask him to forgive us our sins and "cleanse me from within and make me holy". The beauty of it all is....God listens and he forgives your sins and makes you "holy" once again.

I thought I would have more to say, but I really dont know what else to say about it. So, I am just going to leave it at that and bid you farewell *giggle*.

God Bless You,
Jackie
